"Forevermore I’ll Sing”
Traditional Ballads from Sodom Laurel with Donna Ray Norton, an eighth-generation descendant of the original settlers of Madison County, and of its music tradition. The ballads that Donna Ray sings are widely known as murder ballads, but her family calls them love songs. You’re sure to hear something about unrequited love, someone’s father killing her lover, maybe even someone’s head getting cut off.
