The Society of North Carolina Archivists (SNCA) will offer up to two scholarships of $500 each to students wishing to attend the 2026 SNCA/SCAA joint conference (May 28-29).
Purpose This scholarship is intended to promote continuing archival education and professional alliances among archivists in North Carolina. In addition to using the scholarship funds to support attendance at the annual meeting, recipients are encouraged to use scholarship funds to register for workshops and other professional development opportunities that would provide supplemental education to existing coursework and work experiences. Eligibility Applicants must be students enrolled in an archival studies, public history, or library science program in North Carolina. Previous SNCA scholarship recipients may not make further applications. | Application Submit this form and a current resume/CV to the SNCA Education Committee Chair, Kristen Daniel, at danielk23@ecu.edu with the subject line “Jackson Scholarship”. Applications are due Friday, March 6, 2026. Disbursement of Funds Scholarship funds will be provided to the recipients prior to the conference as a one-time payment. (Please note: We can only disburse payments via PayPal at this time). Non-students and folks with full-time archives positions may wish to apply for the Michelle Francis Scholarship.
