SOCIETY OF NORTH CAROLINA ARCHIVISTS | PROFILE |
The Society of North Carolina Archivists (SNCA) awards grants to student societies to support archival workshops or programs. To be eligible for support, workshops or other programs must have a clear archival purpose, be open to participation from non-group members, and be advertised on the SNCA listserv and web page. A report on the program must be submitted to the SNCA newsletter following the event.
Each group requesting support must have at least one student member in the Society of North Carolina Archivists. One student society at each institution of higher education will be eligible for one grant of up to $100 per academic year. The amount of support will be limited to the cost of the proposed program or $100, whichever is less. The $100 limit may be exceeded if the proposed program is jointly sponsored by multiple groups. Joint applications, however, serve as each group’s one award per year (if granted).
To apply, submit an application form, including budget, signed by the president and faculty advisor of the society. Applications must be received at least 30 days prior to the proposed program and in no case later than 15 March.
The application form is available online:
